The Future of America Is At Stake

Posted in Politics on September 28, 2009 by esomhillgazette

Good Morning America!  I can still say that right?  I mean, it is still America.  At least, so far it’s not just a name.  And it’s still Politically Correct isn’t it?  Or do we now have to call it “the Nation Formerly Known as America”?  Or maybe ”The Group of States Come Together is Socialist Harmony”.  Or maybe even just ”The United States Socialist Union”.

You think I am trying to be funny.  And in a way I am.  But also I am dead serious.  I heard and read pieces and excerpts from Mr. Obama’s speech to the U.N. the other day, and I was struck by several things.

First, I was hit by the fact that, once again, your President (not mine, I didn’t vote for him) was apologizing.  He was asking forgiveness not only for America, but also for the previous President, George W. Bush.  Now, despite all the liberal hopes, I am not about to defend Mr. Bush.  Bush was indeed an awful President.  He was no different from a lot of the Presidents before him.  He plans for us were no different from the ones Obama has.  Really, when all is said and done there is no difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party except the color of their shirt and their mascots.

No, the only reason I have a problem with Mr. Obama saying anything about Bush is that the man has not been President for 9 months.  He wasn’t even an effective President after 2006 when, after the mid-term elections, the Democrats took over both houses of Congress.  So that’s 2 years and 9 months or so.  What I am saying Mr. Obama is, get over George W. and stop blaming him for all the bulldookey that YOU are now responsible for.

You are now the President.  All this crap that is going on with the Economy is now YOUR responsibility.  It became yours not only when you took the oath of office, but especially when you rammed that Stimulus Bill up our collective butts and broke the handle off of it.  Yes, the Deficit was around 600 Billion dollars when you took office.  But now, 9 months later, it’s already 1.8 Trillion and climbing.  You cannot borrow yourself out of debt Obama!  Even a small time, family sized economist like me knows that.  You went to Harvard you moron.  Did your Grandma not teach you budgeting while she had you sitting at the feet of all those Socialists?

You know, we all know and admit that Health Care needs reforming.  Only a low-browed idiot doesn’t believe that.  Even the Doctors and Hospitals, hell, even the Insurance Companies admit something needs to be done.  But, while we can all agree that Health Care needs help, we don’t agree on how it needs to be done.  But that is a MINOR issue.  Yep, you read it right, A MINOR issue.  You see, with time, our differences could at least be worked on and some sort of Compromises and a little give and a little take and Viola’!  We have reform!  No. The Major issue that we have with Health care is the fact that, once again, just like the Stimulus, it is being rushed and not being read and no compromises are being offered nor accepted.

Oh yeah!  I hear you now Democrats and Liberals!  WE WON!  WE DON”T HAVE TO COMPROMISE WITH YOU NASTY, EVIL REPUBLICANS AND ESPECIALLY WITH ANY CONSERVATIVES!!!!  WE ARE LARGE AND IN CHARGE!!!  Well, yeah, you did win.  And you are in charge.  But see, it’s like this.  Obama and his Democratic Congress moved too fast and scared the hell out of all of us.  Now we’re awake and pissed.  You don’t have to believe me.  Just wait until the 2010 elections.  That is if we have that long.  Before, when G.W. was Prez, we were asleep.  We slept, for the most part, right through the election.  Some of us (not me) even voted for Obama.  But those that did voted for the “Hope and Change” Obama bragged about during the election.  Instead, what we all got was a man with an agenda to “fundamentally change” America.  And when he’s done, if he gets his way, we will soon afterwards be hope-less.  This is because his “fundamental change” means taking away the rights of Americans and importing through consent to stay of 11 to 20 million illegal aliens to keep him in power.  And he says that this is, of course, for the Greater Good.  And that Blacks and other minorities have suffered under the Corporate yoke for long enough.  That it’s time for fairness for all Americans.  All Americans, that is, but you and me.  And no, I’m not talking about whites.  You see, all this minority talk is just that, talk.  Obama is no more interested in Black and White than he is any other color.  The minorities are just a tool for him.  The same with the liberal left.  He’s already elected.  What does he need you for now?  This man is interested in only one thing.

POWER.

Oh, you say!!  Not us!!  Not us Liberals and Democrats who put him in office!!  After all, we support most (or all) of his policies.  He wouldn’t kick us to the curb!  Well if that’s what you believe, then you are a fool.  All you are to him is a means to an end.  When the National Economy collapses due to the top heavy weight of not enough income and way, way too much outgo, we’re ALL going to go down with it.  Not only that,  but the rest of the world’s economy will follow us right down into the crapper.  What will follow will be the worst depression the world has ever witnessed.  One that will make the 1930’s Depression like a cakewalk.  One that will collapse whole governments, probably including this one.

So, you say, you are just a Conspiracy Nut.  Well.  A few months ago I would have laughed that off as the hysterics of a looney leftist just trying to stop discussion.  Now, I don’t know.  Why would the President of the United States drive his own Nation to the brink of destruction?  Why can’t Congress see this?  Why aren’t the people who have the power to bring this to the public’s attention with at least some credibility saying anything?  And the biggest question:  Why is it that an old Country boy such as me can see this plainly?  Why can other ordinary citizens see it plainly? And why can’t those learned idiots in Government see the same thing?

I believe it’s because they DO see it.  And it goes right with their plans.  Make ALL dependent on the Government.  Get us all addicted or at least dependent on Government money and it’s hard to get it back away from most.  This is a looming disaster folks.  God defend the right.  God be with us all.

Why Does That Race Card Keep Getting Thrown?

Posted in Politics on August 7, 2009 by esomhillgazette

I’ve already talked about racism in an article before,  but in the past few, our Stupidly President has brought Racism back to the forefront once again.  Well,  stupidly is as stupidly does!

Now, we ALL know Racism exists in Society.  It always has and it always will.  The mistake that a lot in America make about Racism though is that it’s all White against [insert any race here].   Well hoss, I’ve got news for you.

Racism isn’t in just Whitey.  Racism exists in ALL races.  It even exists between different religions, different tribes, and different cultures.

Now most of us have got very little racism inside us.  But we all have at least a little.  I don’t know a scientific term for it.  All I can say is that people seem to have a natural fear/antagonism towards anyone or thing that is different from them.  They used to say that an albino wolf had to be the meanest one in the pack to survive because he was different and the others would attack him because of it.  I’d like to sit here and declare that we’re better than animals. But the truth is, we really aren’t.  The only difference is the fact that we can consciously override those feelings and realize that there are good and bad people in ALL races.

YES!  There are some black folks I don’t like.  Latinos too. But it’s them personally that I don’t like.  Their color has nothing to do with it.  There are a lot of White folks I don’t like either.

Let’s take my Hometown of Cedartown for example.  We have white, black, and latino, and Chinese, and Indians.   And that’s just the ones I know about.   Now let’s talk Racism among them.   Not all of us.  I am not racist, just as many people in my town aren’t.  Now when I say that I am not racist, I can just hear you in the background saying BULLDOOKEY!   First, I’m from the South.  Georgia as a matter of fact.  I’m also from Esom Hill, GA, which, if any of you know of it, does not have a stellar reputation as a non-racist community.  Quite the opposite in fact.  It has a disreputable reputation as a VERY racist community.

Esom is a small town\community outside of Cedartown towards the Alabama line.

But I wasn’t raised by my community.  I wasn’t raised to look down on anyone, regardless of their color or ethnicity.  I was taught manners.  And believe me when I say that the manners I was taught weren’t just to be used with the white folks!  Me and my brother said yes or no ma’am and sir to our elders regardless of whether or not they were white, black, or green.  Else we got our jaws smacked for being rude.  You hold doors open for others to go in front because it was and still is the polite thing to do, not because the one you’re holding it open for is white.

That’s not to say that I’m busom buddies with most people of color or even other races, because I’m not.  Not because I don’t like them.  I do both like AND respect many of them.  The problem is one of different culture and beliefs and lives.  I personally would rather have a lot of these people in my house than a lot of whites.  And there are some who are welcome at my house anytime and I would be more than happy to shake their hand and hug their neck because I would be genuinely glad to see them.  I consider them friends.  I just don’t see much of them.  But that’s not racism.  We all have our own lives and we’re all busy living and working in them.  We also come from different cultures and don’t have much in common.

I don’t even see my best friend in the world but every few months, and I only live one mile from his house.  That’s called life, not racism.

As I said previously though, racism does indeed exist.  Let’s look at my Hometown.  I’ll just make a list:

Blacks against Whites,  Whites against Blacks, Blacks and Whites against Latino, Latino against Black and White.  And in the Latino community, we have Guatemalans against Mexicans and vice versa.  Pretty much every Latino group in town hates the others if they are not from the same Country that they are from.  The Chinese and Indians are pretty insular against all outsiders but others of their own kind.

Anyone that thinks all racism is by Whites against all others is a moron.

Let’s get back to Mr. Stupidly.  His ol’ buddy from Harvard was arrested for disorderly conduct.  The President,  despite having no knowledge of what had actually taken place, and before finding out all the facts, in effect said that the Cambridge Police acted racist and stupidly.  Then, when it all came to the fore, it turns out that his ol’ pal Mr. Gates was the one who acted in a racist manner and showed his fanny real good while the police were only doing their jobs.  Newsflash, Mr. Gates.

Talking about the police officers momma, and generally making an ass of yourself in even your own front yard was just about the dumbest move you could have made.  Even Black officers don’t like people talking about their mommas!

The police acted with modest restraint in my opinion.  Had he done that down here where I live, one of the officers probably would have used his nightstick on him whether he was Black OR White for talking about one of their mommas.  We take that crap personal down here.

Now on to others.  We’ve established that some Blacks and Whites are racist against each other.  There are just as many Black racists as there are White ones too.  But there are also Black and White Racists against Latinos.  Some are like me.  I don’t blame anyone for coming here legally or not to try to find a better life for themselves and their families.  If I was in that position, I would do the same thing.  Where I find fault is the fact that they take resources such as jobs and most especially Government benefits from the American people who were born here.

And yes, for all you skeptics, that INCLUDES those LATINOS who were born here.

I wouldn’t like it any better if they were white.  See, it’s not their race I have a problem with, it’s their actions.

I have seen first hand how, as an American citizen, we go into DFACS and have to show 9,000 ways that we are Americans and how much money we make and what our bills are and  most of the time get turned down anyway.  Then watch an illegal alien come in who has to speak through an interpreter  not have to show a single thing and get signed right up for food stamps and Medicaid and their children put in school, assigned an interpreter and given free lunches.  All this is done and our workers at DFACS and the school system aren’t even allowed to ASK for documentation to prove they are Americans.  I don’t hate the people.  I hate the Government system that allows them to do it.

I guess in this case you could call me a Government Racist.

And talk about racist!!  These guys really are racist.  And not just against White and Black, but also against other Latinos.  These guys have gangs.  Big time drug gangs in a town of 10,000 people!  There are not just Mexicans here either.  There are also Guatemalans, Hondurans, Nicaraguans, you name ‘em.   And they all hate each other!  The Mexicans hate the Guatemalans, who of course hate them back.  The Hondurans hate the……well, you get the picure I’m sure.

There aren’t enough Chinese here to really get a sense of how they feel, but since they’re human….  And then we have the Indies, who now own ALL the convenience stores and motels, bought with our tax dollars through low interest loans.  And yes, I think that’s a bunch of crap too.  But would I take a low interest loan to buy a business that rakes in money with both hands?  You dang skippy I would!!  Once again, it’s not the people, but the preferential treatment from our Government that pisses me off.

What I’m trying to get across is the fact that although there is in fact and will always be racists in the world, this throwing out the race card has gotten out of hand.  Racism plays a very small part in society and is present in ALL races and cultures.

In the words of Rodney King; “can’t we all just get along?”

There is hope however.  Last week I was in the Grocery store when a young white and a young black walked up to each other.  They were clearly glad to see each other as they said hi and asked about each others family.  They also shook hands and actually hugged one another’s necks before they went their separate ways promising to come and see each other.  As they left each other smiling, I couldn’t help but smile also.  I smiled because it gives me hope that one day, if the racist morons will just shut the hell up, we might look at each other and see not skin color.  Not Race.  And not difference of culture.  Just other people.  Not potential antagonists and enemies.  After all folks, we’re all stuck on this world together.

Why don’t we leave that Race Card in the deck in a desk drawer or better yet the trash can where it belongs.

Did You Know?

My wife sent me an EMail the other day.  I liked it so much that I copied it to my blog site.  Here it is in it’s entirety.

DID YOU KNOW?

As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world’s lawgivers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view .. it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?

As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington , D..C.

DID YOU KNOW?

James Madison, the fourth president, known as “The Father of Our Constitution” made the following statement: “We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

DID YOU KNOW?

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said: “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.

DID YOU KNOW?

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

DID YOU KNOW?

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies.

DID YOU KNOW?

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law an oligarchy the rule of few over many.

DID YOU KNOW?

The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said: “Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers.” How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?

Lets put it around the world and let the world see and remember what this great country was built on.
